The building dates from about 1780 with later additions (and plumbing). It was originally a shop and a bakery known as ‘Harrison’s Stores’ and was in use as such until 1986 after which it was sympathetically converted into a family home.
The original bread ovens are still in the kitchen although no longer used for baking bread or for the villager’s turkeys at Christmas, which was another popular use!Read more about the area »
